A visual prototype shows form and appearance; a functional one withstands load, assembles with other parts and works like the final product. That is why the material and its properties matter, not just the surface.

What to choose

  • For most cases – PA12 (MJF).
  • For snap-fits and impact – PA11.
  • For flexible elements – TPU.
  • For heat – PA GF, ULTEM™, PEEK.

  • For snap-fits use PA11 – higher elongation at break.
