How to choose a finish
- Uniform black colour for nylon – dyeing: low cost, does not fill fine details, resistant to rubbing off.
- A specific colour (RAL) – spray painting.
- A smooth, sealed, easy-to-clean surface – chemical smoothing (for nylons and some FDM plastics).
- A more uniformly smooth surface and rounded edges for a batch – vibratory smoothing.
- Screw connections that will be undone many times – threaded inserts.
- Removing support marks, transparency (SLA) – hand polishing and clear coating.
All finishes are selected in the configurator – price and lead time update instantly.
