PA11 ESD
PA11 ESD is a static-dissipative nylon (SLS). It is used in electronics manufacturing: for fixtures, tools, housings and handling parts that come into contact with sensitive components.

A good fit when…
- the part comes into contact with electronic components or boards
- static charge build-up must be avoided (ESD areas)
- you need the strength and flexibility of nylon
Choose something else when…
- ESD properties are not required – PA11 or PA12 will be cheaper
Designing in PA11 ESD
Walls
Minimum 0.75 mm (down to 0.5 mm in places). Load-bearing walls – from 1.5–2 mm.
Cavities
Leave at least one 2–3 mm opening in closed cavities to remove powder; several for larger cavities.
Clearances
At least 0.5–1 mm between separate moving parts, so they do not fuse together.
Where PA11 ESD is used
Electronics assembly fixtures, test equipment parts, trays, guides and housings for ESD-sensitive areas. The material retains the mechanical properties of PA11 – strength and impact resistance.
State any specific surface resistance requirements in the order notes – we will check them against the manufacturer data.
